"For its third summer production, CSTW opened the Duncan Sheik/Steven Sater penned musical Alice by Heart last weekend. What they also did was prove that a drive to Fairview is worth it with a production full of inventive design, a strong cast of diverse fresh faces and an earnest desire to present theater in the area."

"CenterStage Theatre Works artistic director Charlotte Taylor has an evident gift for pulling up-and-coming young talent from a the wide-open spaces of North Texas. Alice By Heart is a compelling show for all ages, a showcase for young talent coming up in North Texas—and a bittersweet tribute to the grit, dreams, and determination of young humans, whatever world they’re in, who learn to survive situations of trauma and loss."

"Big congratulations to CenterStage Theatreworks on a spectacular, immersive staging of Alice by Heart. This was much more of an experience than a play. CenterStage did an incredible job of combining the harsh reality of the Blitz with Alice’s fantasy world. Every aspect of the production was terrific. From the scenic design to the choreography to the direction to the music direction to the costumes to the sound and lighting to the performances and vocals, it was all first rate and made my visit to Alice’s world both fun and moving. You’d have to be mad as a hatter not to be thrilled by this production."
